8 Globalization-Global and Local Economy (Activity 7 Writing )

  A. Writing 1.  1. Describe how economic, technological, cultural, and/or political globalization is affecting and has affected your present student’s lifestyle most.  In my opinion, globalization has affected me in a global environment as a student, first, there is a lack of funding for public education, there is a pressure of competitiveness and educational centers seem to become companies and our education in merchandise, importing only the economic income to these companies rather than providing quality education. We also have restricted access to certain schools and types of education according to our economic resources. Conformism has been fostered, but also a competitiveness that is no longer only local, but with new technologies is global. I believe that although the subject is studied more and more, it ends up not being understood in the best way, having an impact on our present as students and on a future as workers.
